Students with Disabilities Inspire IOC & WTF Delegates

Sirota's Alchymy - Martial Arts Centre, under the Leadership of Master Michael Sirota hosted an International Delegation from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).

The Delegation was lead by Dr. Chungwon Choue, President of the WTF. Other guests included Mr. Phillip Coles (IOC Member from Australia & WTF VP), Mr. Ivan Dibos (IOC Member from Peru & WTF VP), Mr. Dae Sung Moon (Olympic Champion, WTF & IOC Member).  The Dignitaries witnessed various demonstrations by over 60 Taekwondo Students with special needs and disabilities.

Lead by Mr. Serge Makarenko, Sirota's Alchymy Para-Taekwondo Demo Team performed an exciting demonstration for the International Delegation. Members of the Demo Team are living with various physical and developmental challenges. However, these challenges do not stop them from Shining and promoting the Human Spirit!

The World Taekwondo Federation has made it its mandate to have Taekwondo Competitions in the Paralympic Games for people living with various disabilities.
