PEI Competition Sparring Development Camp

Taekwondo Canada is pleased to announce that Taekwondo Canada, in partnership with WTF Taekwondo Association of PEI, will host a development training camp April 19-21, 2013 led by Taekwondo Canada’s National Head Coach Master Shin Wook Lim.

This development camp is intended for any participant/athlete, coach/instructor interested in developing him or herself in the area of sparring competition. We suggest participants to have a minimum level of green belt and be 12 years old or older.

The training camp will include 10 hours of instruction for instructors-coaches and practitioners-athletes over three days and will provide a unique opportunity to develop and enhance competitive techniques and skills under the guidance of Master Lim.

General Outline: 

DAY 1 - Goal-Setting, Self-Inventory, Inspiration, Planning.

DAY 2 - Sparring Fundamentals, Skills and Drills, Developing Key Performance Components – Speed and Power, Speed Endurance, Strength, Endurance and Footwork.

DAY 3 – Game Plan/Tactics/Strategy, Ring Management and Match Control, Distance and Timing, Video Analysis, Gap Analysis.

Saturday and Sunday:

Athletes – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (two-hour lunch break) then 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Coaches – 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Taekwondo Canada partners with Taekwondo Manitoba to host a Development Training Camp for Coaches and Athletes

Taekwondo Canada is pleased to announce that Taekwondo Canada, in partnership with Taekwondo Manitoba, will host a development training camp Feb. 15 to 17 in Winnipeg, Man., led by Taekwondo Canada’s National Head Coach Master Shin Wook Lim and Olympic bronze medallist Master Dominique Bosshart.

The training camp will include 10 hours of instruction for coaches and athletes over three days and will provide a unique opportunity to develop and enhance competitive techniques and skills under the guidance of Canada’s National Head Coach and one of its former Olympians.

Date: Feb. 15 to 17, 2013

Location: Winnipeg, Man. @ Tactical Taekwondo

Fee: $200
